The Feminine and the Foreign is a project in which the NEST Collective partners with activists and arts institutions around the world to enter into Black feminist, queer and immigration activist communities in multiple cities around the world, searching for the theoretical, ideological, spiritual, emotional and philosophical connections between all these movements and communities.
After productions in Cape Town and London, movie portraits of Black activists in the Rhein-Main Region and Nairobi will be produced for Wiesbaden Biennale.
In interactive screenings, activists from these regions will be showcased in an artistic dialogue with the NEST and presented to a larger audience.
